So the "bad guy" was the icon theme - it seems to crash when TB wants to
show its incoming mail notification. When the theme is disabled,
everything seems to work again. Thanks for help! You may now close the
bug as resolved, I'll direct the author of the icon theme here, so that
he knows about the problem.
