I have the EXACT same issue as the OP.  Even from the same website.  If
I right-click and "Save Image" it pulls up the download window and says
completed.  If I click on Open, I get the moved/deleted message.

I have found though if I use CTL-S instead of right clicking, it seems
to work fine.  I guess that's a work around, but it's not the greatest.
I tried changing the download directory into a different folder and
still didn't work.  It will save other file types, just not images of
any kind.

Ubuntu version 7.04
FF: 2.0.0.3
Acer Aspire 2010


This is a brand new install (I did it twice just to make sure) and the issue presented both times.
