Renaming extensions.rdf works! (e.g. mv ~/.mozilla/firefox/{profile}/extensions.rd extensions.rdf.orig)
System: just upgraded from Ubuntu Dapper Drake (6.06.1 LTS) to Edgy Eft (6.10)
