Attached .xsessions-errors shows it fails at:

  sh: jackd: not found
  The application 'x-session-manager' lost its connection to the display :0.0;
  most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed the application.

The jackd has probably nothing to do with it.. installing jackd removes above "not found", but still
the crash happens.

Also sometimes gnash keeps on playing in the background (audio only), so
gnash itself does not crash.

Note that I use a screen resolution of 1024x768 (if this is useful).
