I haven't previously tried listening to other radio stations so I
don't have a definite before and after experience on Ubuntu with any
other.   The example provided KEX  works on Windows but quit working
on Ubuntu.

Here's one that does work on Ubuntu.
http://asx.abacast.com/blazers-kxl2-32.asx

Therefore it may be an update to the KEX stream as easily as a UBUNTU
update.
