I upgraded my system and that issue is still there. The new firefox version
data are: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20060601
Firefox/2.0.0.1 (Kubuntu-edgy). The "Open" option in the "Downloads" menu
doesn't  do anything, unless you change the location of the file and then
the response is just "name_of_file doesn't exists. It may have been renamed,
moved or deleted since it was downloaded".
