Thunderbird constantly stales, usually when i have lots of new mail
messages in the mailbox that weren't fetched, although i couldn't say
that is the same bug since i usually run Thunderbird binary from gui and
not from the console and cannot see if the problem is identical.

I could supply you with more info on this but i don't know what exactly
can interest you.
