i crashed the same way with a very large folder (100,000 mails
accumulated from a list) - this time only renaming the folder (it seems
to crash without a crash notice, if i try to open it!).

i attach the crash report in a separate comment. launchpad had a server
error, probably because the crash report is 17 mb
