[Bug 85486] Firefox 2.0 crashes on many sites

When I go to any of a number of blogs, including *Talking Points Memo*
and *Eschaton*, Firefox crashes. This usually happens near the end of
loading the front page for the site.

I have an AMD 64 machine.

This first appeared in Firefox 1.5. I upgraded to Edgy and Firefox 2.0,
and the same behavior appeared.
