You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Binary package hint: mozilla-plugin-vlc
mozilla-plugin-vlc-0.8.6.release.c-0ubuntu5 leaks memory and has high
cpu usage, causing my computer to thrash itself to death. The problem
occurs when playing one of the streams at http://concertzender.nl (try
going to that site and clicking Nieuwe Muziek on the right hand side and
then click "Klik hier als u toch de ingebouwde mediaspeler wilt
gebruiken." in the popup window.
At least I assume it is the vlc plugin that is the problem. Here are the
plugins I have installed in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins on the box in
question:
flashplugin-alternative.so libunixprintplugin.so nphelix.so
libjavaplugin.so libvlcplugin.so nphelix.xpt
** Affects: flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu)
