[Bug 157498] display responsiveness with desktop effects

this seems backwards to me but.... when I TURN OFF desktop effects
larger windows i.e. firefox and evolution respond to certain actions
slower than before the gutsy upgrade and slower than when desktop
effects are enabled. One good example of the certain actions is typing,
when I am typing into a form such as this in firefox with desktop
effects off, it will do nothing for one second, and then it will begin
SLOOOOWLY typing in what I have typed in. Evolution has the same typing
delay but not quite as slow. I really don't know what information or
attachments for something like this, so let me know what info you need
and I'll be glad to get it.

Gutsy 7.10 all updates, firefox 2.0.0.8 from ubuntu repository
