Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv: Gecko/20071204
Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/

I run the latest version of Ubuntu and Firefox that is provided on
automatic distribution. Approximately two months ago when opening a
page the browser would start opening tabbed window after tabbed window
and would never stop other than by closing the original window down.
Initially I thought it to be a difficulty with the application I was
opening, but after having this happen randomly with a broad assortment
of applications, I came to the conclusion that the browser has a bug,
but assumed it would be fixed in time but since it hasn't, here's my bug

On one occasion there were 693 blank (generated pages are always blank)
tab pages generated in just a few moments suggesting perhaps a fairly
small processing loop.

There doesn't seem to be any error messages listed within the system log
files so the foregoing is about the extent of available information.

I don't toy with either the operating system or the browser - both are
stock, vanilla automated installations from Ubuntu.
