[Bug 135151] Firefox momentarily freezes while opening a java applet

I'm running on Ubuntu Feisty.

When opening any java applet, firefox freezes for a moment(2 to 7
seconds, I think) and then comes back with the applet running.

The expected behavior would be balancing the load, avoiding to freeze
the whole browser, so the user can scroll the page, or view other tabs
while the applet loads.
