font packaging documentation

Hello,

I am trying to package some Persian fonts for ubuntu.
I followed the documentation found here in PDF and HTML:

https://packaging.ubuntu.com/html/packaging-new-software.html

Someone told me that this documentation is out of date, since the guide
suggests using bzr, while currently everyone is using git.

Could someone send a link to an up to date tutorial/documentation ?
