gpointing-device-settings 1.3.1-2 seems to be installed - but can't be found

Hi Steven, hi all,

THANKS. it worked like a charm.

(I'm not quite sure if I now have some "redundancy" and possible
(invisible) conflicts in my Ubuntu, since I also "installed" the tpctl
trackpoint utility as well as the gnome gpointing-device-settings tool
- maybe generating the fdi file would have been sufficient? - I guess
I shall see what each tool does as I become more experienced.)

ps:
Although the more I look the more "construction sites" I find, ie
places where I still need to change settings or learn new ways coming
from XP going to Linux, having SCROLLING back the accustomed way makes
Ubuntu almost feel like XP to me! I finally have my laptop back
again!!! (I'm dual-booting with BING)...
