Patents are (have been and will be) a real problem when we learn
from the patent holders that they intend to enforce them legally.

as for xvid source, I'm sorry, I should have checked the source
myself. I was pretty sure that it contained some binary blobs, but this
is clearly not the case and I must have mixed it with some other
package.

probably we should promote 'universe' it as well. Any takers?
