REVU Days

Hello everyone,

As you all are probably aware, the Karmic Koala repositories are now
open. This means that it is time to start reviewing the packages on
REVU [1][2]. For Jaunty, we had weekly REVU days every Friday. These
were very successful, and resulted in many packages getting reviewed
and uploaded. As a result, we will be having them again during Karmic.

In order to make the REVU process easier, several wiki pages have been
created. [3] explains certain things that should be checked while
reviewing a package. [4] explains how to get a new package added to
the repositories. [5] is a checklist of different things that users
who upload packages to REVU should do in order to ensure that their
package gets uploaded. Finally, we have the great packaging guide [6].
These wiki pages should be useful to package contributors and
reviewers alike.

As I mentioned earlier, REVU Days will take place every Friday. The
first REVU day for Karmic will take place on Friday, May 8th, 2009.

Thanks,
Nathan Handler
REVU Coordinator
