Bug #200181 in Ubuntu - gramofile 1.6.8 (hardy)

Hi,

Essentially the functionality to record from line in seems to have been
broken in gramofile since Gutsy. Selecting option 1 from the menu
eventually returns the following error:

/dev/dsp: Invalid argument

I have tried this on 3 PC, each with a different sound card (mixture of
on-board and PCI) over Gutsy and Hardy and have yet to get past this
issue.

Can you advise on how to progress this please?
