A logo for Ubuntu Universe?

Ubuntu Universe needs an attractive and memorable logo to identify  
the community maintained part of Ubuntu.

There exists a logo on the wiki -- se for example [1] -- consisting  
of the letters "Un" on top of the Ubuntu tripartite circle. I don't  
think I offend anyone by saying that it's not very attractive.

It is quite inspiring to see all the _beautiful_ suggestions for the  
new Launchpad logo [2]! It will be very difficult to choose one among  
all those brilliant sumissions! The amount of graphical talent within  
the Ubuntu community is simply astonishing.

This is a call for a discussion on whether to have a similar contest  
for a Universe logo, that could decorate web-pages and printed  
material, and how such a contest could be organized.
