motu-sru report, W5/2007

Hi folks,

there have been some changes to the motu-sru policy so that it should get a
little bit more speedy to get a package into -proposed now. Also Martin Pitt
is now helping out ubuntu-archive to process the queues faster.

The changes in detail are:
* You won't need to upload the package yourself now, since the last person
from motu-sru who gives the 3rd ack will also care for uploading. However
please make sure that the debdiff you attach is still tested the same way as
if you would actually upload it.

* After uploading, motu-sru will subscribe the team ubuntu-sru instead of
ubuntu-archive, since they push the buttons on the queue now.

* In case testing shows trouble with a package in -proposed, motu-sru will set
the bug status to "in progress" and leave a note why the proposed update has
been rejected. You should then see to get that problem sorted out and prepare
another debdiff for -proposed.

* After testing is done, motu-sru will once again do the uploading and set the
tag "verification-motu-done".

Did I forget something?

Of course we'll still have to see if these changes to the policy will in fact
improve the whole process, so I'll monitor it for sure. However don't
hesitate to ask/write/blame, if s.th. is not working out ;).
