Hi,
We have got several requests from Ubuntu derivatives to allow them to
translate non main packages using Launchpad/Rosetta.
After talking with other Launchpad team members, we are thinking about
the possibility to get an agreement with you, the MOTU team so we accept
a small amount of packages from universe imported into Rosetta and you
get those translations from time to time and upload a new package with
translations.
At the moment, we have only one package requested, 'avidemux' but we
guess others would come later.
Of course, this would mean that if anyone of you are interesting to do
the same with other packages, we will be happy to do those imports too.
What do you think? If none of you have time or want to handle that for
one of the requested packages, we will request, as a requirement, that
the requester help you in that task.
This will be a 'workaround' until we implement
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/language-packs-for-universe
Thank you for your input on this issue.
