I'm a bit confused by this email. We do have Claws in the archive, as
package sylpheed-claws-gtk2, synced from debian. It gets 'regular'
support via the ubuntu MOTUs. So you can already use it as replacements
for thunderbird or evolution.

It seems to me that you request that a motu takes up
responsibility/maintainership for this particular package. While we do
this for some package groups, we agreed a long time ago, that we don't
want dedicated 'Package Maintainers' for specific packages. I think it
might be a good idea to ask the xubuntu developers to consider claws,
but I think this was one of the first email applications they look at.

This brings me to another question: do we want (or already have without
me noticing) some place where we note which packages are 'maintained' by
which group? I mean, do have a lookup in launchpad which packages a lp
team is bug contact for. But do we have a reverse lookup, read, which
bug contacts a package has? If yes, we could/should have an overview
page with a package map, where we can see which packages have which bug
contacts?

Perhaps this is rather a question for launchpad devs, I'm CC'ing
launchpad-users for their input on this. What features are planned on
the bug contact side?
