Hello everybody,

as some of you might have gathered from
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-dev/+polls already, the nominated MOTU
Council was confirmed by the Ubuntu developers.

Thanks for stepping up for this to Andrew Mitchell, Daniel T. Chen,
Gauvain Pocentek, Stefan Potyra. Thanks to everybody for voting.

The MOTU Council will face quite some challenges and hopefully make a
difference in the governance of the MOTU team. We expect to have faster
decisions, more consensus, quicker processes and better organisation.

The MOTU Council is going to hold its first meeting on Friday, 23rd
10:UTC in #ubuntu-meeting. Find the agenda over here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MOTU/Council and please note that the approval
of new MOTUs is decoupled from those meetings and described in this
document: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MOTU/Hopeful/Recruitment

Have a nice day,
 the MOTU Council
