Hey all,

I have been trying to create a chroot environment for karmic in one of
my computers. and I wanted to check some things.

effie-jayx at alison:~/MOTU$ sudo pbuilder create DIST=karmic
--debootstrapopts --variant=buildd

And I get :

Distribution is jaunty. <---- shouldn't it be karmic?
Building the build environment
 -> running debootstrap
I: Retrieving Release
^CE: Interrupt caught ... exiting
pbuilder: debootstrap failed
 -> Aborting with an error
 -> cleaning the build env
    -> removing directory /var/cache/pbuilder/build//19908 and its

when I try to do it with:

sudo pbuilder-dist karmic create
Distribution is karmic.

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  coreutils: Conflicts: mktemp but 1.6-4 is installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.

I have installed

build-essential devscripts ubuntu-dev-tools debhelper diff patch quilt
fakeroot lintian libtool gnome-common gnome-doc-utils gtk-doc-tools

and my .pbuilderrc  is http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/188717/

any hints or things I should look into?

Thanks in advance
