Hi, sorry it took this long to respond.

Please try the latest Gnome Subtitles version (1.4) and check if it
resolves this issue.

This version is currently available in the project PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~pedrocastro/+archive/ubuntu/ppa

Let me know if you need help installing it.

Bug description:
  I know the package (i just got "there is one error" when choosing it), it's "gsubedit".
  when i uses programs for editing subtitles or saving them into the movie, they are in Gibberish, i decided ro wrote it her in hope it would be fixed (: sorry for the low information, if you have any question, i'll do my best (:

  i'm using ubuntu 11.10 and the system itself is in hebrew and also i
  have hebrew keyboard layout,

  most of the time i used "GSubEdit - Gnome Subtitle Editor" and as i
  remember-any similar program had it
