Sorry about the delay. This is fixed in Utopic (see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/1344763). I'll
work through backporting the fix to the other versions of Ubuntu later
today.

Title:
amazon mp3 store displays Ubuntu One "service discontinued" message

Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
The Amazon MP3 store defaults to the Ubuntu One page, requesting login
credentials. When credentials are entered, message is displayed about
Ubuntu One service being discontinued, with options of how to retrieve
stored files. I retrieved my stored files in April, when the Ubuntu
One announcement was made. Since that time, I have been unable to
access the Amazon MP3 store...I am being force-fed the Ubuntu One
retrieval message and nothing I do will lead to the Amazon store.

I am using Banshee 2.41. on Ubuntu 12.04, installed from the Ubuntu
Software Center. I have filed a report with Banshee, but they say the
version installed from USC has been patched by Ubuntu to redirect the
URL to a site that allows Canonical credit for Amazon purchases and,
therefore, must be fixed by Ubuntu. I have filed a report with Ubuntu
One support, who sent me back to Banshee, and finally to this site
  after learning more information.

PLEASE FIX THE PATCH that hijacks the Amazon MP3 store functionality
and currently PREVENTS my access to the store from within Banshee. I
have been extremely patient, waiting since April for this message to
go away by July 31; it is now AUGUST and I'm still getting this
message. I feel that I have been BEYOND patient, waiting for this to
  be resolved.

Will Ubuntu/Canonical be fixing this bug in a timely manner, or should
I just install Banshee from a PPA, re-directing any credit back to the
Gnome Foundation that Canonical might have received from their
redirected URL for Amazon MP3 purchases?
