I have had the same issue since I swicthed to 13.04 (clean install). The
error happens when the synchronization encounters the first file to
convert (flac to mp3). All the files that didn't require transcoding and
which transfer was started before, were successfully copied to the
device.

Leaving banshee hanging for a few minutes (more than 10),  the CPU load
remains at 100% and the transfer does not complete.

  When trying to exit the error message (impossible) CPU load explodes.
