Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS updated with 3.2.0-39-generic-pae, Gnome 3 shell full install on top of Unity on Toshiba Satellite C655.
Docky version is 2.1.4-1
Running Docky since install of 12.04 with no problems.
After I installed the latest updates this morning, 3/31/2013, docky now causes desktop to freeze when mousing over.
If I boot up, log in and before starting any other apps, mouse over docky, back and forth a few times, the whole desk top freezes. Mouse still moves, but can not activate anything with clicks. Ctl-Alt-F1 will not switch screens. All keystrokes are ignored. The only out is a long press of the power button.
Early on it popped up a little black window with the message "Docky needs compositing to work properly", but now just freezes the desktop.
Tried complete removal and reinstall and still got same results.
Removal of Docky allows system to work ok.

** Affects: docky (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
