Status in “tasque” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: tasque

  I haven't found an option to hide the notification area icon.
  According to the GNOME HIG, there should be one — tasque does not
  notify me about anything most of the time, so the icon is useless and
  it only clutters my notification area.
