I can confirm this fixed in Tomboy 1.8.0. If you are still having this
problem in your version please don't hesitate to reopen this bug report.

  Huge Text appear as Normal when Pasted from another note.

Status in “tomboy” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: tomboy

  Selecting the header (Name) of a note, and middle-click (pasting) on
  other note, shows the pasted text as Huge, but when trying to format
  the text back to Normal, the style shows up as Normal.

  Workaround:
  Enable and disable Bullet List. (Works as some sort of "Reset").
