Public bug reported:
You can call it a bug, a design flaw, or even a feature request. But the
window freeze on sync can be really annoying.
When your notes are synced, any open notes become locked until the sync
is complete. I think this is by design, to prevent a sync from going
bad. (Is that even possible?) But, especially when the network is slow
or the server is rather busy, the notes are locked for annoying long
periods of time.(Every %d minutes sync interval.)
I suggest, if this lock is necessary at all, that the synchronization
functionality creates temporary copies of notes to sync in the
background, so you can continue using your notes while sync is
happening.
(Ubuntu 11.04 Tomboy 1.6.0)
