Public bug reported:

after doing an absolut fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10 including a
complete clean home partition, connecting Tomboy to U1 and synchronizing
notes always gives error and an incomplete list of notes.

my solution was to copy my old tomboy directories to /.config and
/.local/share

now it syncs correctly
