The only way I could banshee to run without sudo was to delete the
partition and reinstall Ubuntu, which allows Banshee to run from the GUI
but to try and sync a device you just get permission errors (see screen
shots) I'm just wondering what I have done wrong

Title:
Banshee will not start
Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: banshee
Ubuntu Version 11.04
Banshee Version 2.0.0-2Ubuntu.1
From the GUI if an attempt to run is made nothing at all happens (no crash or Banshee displayed), but it you run in the terminal you get the following :-
at Mono.Addins.Serialization.BinaryXmlReader.Skip () <0x00068>
at Mono.Addins.Serialization.BinaryXmlReader.Skip () <0x00068>
at Mono.Addins.Serialization.BinaryXmlReader.Skip () <0x00068>
at Mono.Addins.Serialization.BinaryXmlReader.Skip () <0x00068>
this just loops until you hit ctl+c to stop the execution any idea on
how to fix this error ?
