Aha. I think I know what's happening. It's probably Banshee's hang-check timer
going off. But in order for that to happen you need a seriously slow filesystem,
I guess.
And since Carey's a btrfs user, I'm sure we know which one that is ;-)

Often while rating a song it will skip the song instead of playing it
out as expected. Doesn't happen every time. Seems to happen more
frequently when I click out of the context menu before it's "ready"
(Compiz dims the window on rating), but sometimes it still does it
when I wait.
