  Banshee freezes during start, no error message

Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: banshee

  Banshee 1.8.1. on Ubuntu 10.10.

  When I start Banshee the windows opens but stays gray and
  unresponsive, the CPU peaks at 100%. A similar bug has been posted
  with a previous (1.5x) version of Banshee but I got it today. As far
  as I see it can be related to rebooting the system without closing
  Banshee.

  A reinstall of Banshee doesn't help.

  Update: When I start Banshee with "sudo Banshee" it starts without a
  problem.
