Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: banshee

  Using banshee to play audio only files works perfectly.  However,
  opening banshee and either double clicking, right clicking and
  selecting play, and hitting the play button at the top of the gui
  causes banshee to exit.
