I'm using the latest version included with Ubuntu 11.04.
About shows Banshee 2.0 (2.0.0).
The Ubuntu package version is 2.0.0-2ubuntu1.

Title:
MusicBrainz data not found if more than one release matching disc ID

Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: banshee

On numerous CDs I've tried to import, Banshee is unable to locate the
release. The release shows up as Unknown Album / Unknown Artist, and a
display indicating "Could not fetch track information" appears under
the track list. However, matching releases are found for many other
  CDs.

Sound Juicer is able to locate the metadata, so the release is there.
However, in each instance where I've seen this problem, Sound Juicer
has asked me to select one of several matching releases, so it appears
that Banshee has failed because there were multiple matches. It had no
issue when a single match was found (and Sound Juicer in this case did
  not prompt to disambiguate).

This problem likely became frequent after the NGS (Next Generation
Schema) update in May. When the schema was updated, releases with
multiple "release events" were split into multiple releases, with one
release event each but with all disc IDs. So, while the situation was
possible before, it was unlikely, but after the update it would happen
on any release with more than one release event and at least one disc
ID. (Without a disc ID it's moot as there is nothing for Banshee to
  match).
