Bug description:
  Binary package hint: banshee

  I'm copying music to my phone (a Nexus One) and it causes the
  application interface to become unresponsive and the playback to stop
  repeatedly.

  Copying music should probably be relegated to a separate thread or
  something. Execution priority should go music playback, then
  application interface responsiveness, then file copy and sync
  operations.
