Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: banshee

  I wanted to disable song change notifications in banshee. There were
  two problems here:

  1) Notification icons are disabled by default for most apps in Unity,
  so user doesn't see the "tray" icon and can't toggle the "Show
  notification" option in the menu.

  2) Even when I white listed banshee, toggled off the "Show
  notification" option, and disabled notification plugin in extension
  preferences, I still saw notifications displayed.
