Same thing was happening already on previous versions see Bug #677332.
Overall Banshee has a hard time with accents, will not import files with accents, will not display them correctly or give erroneous search results too....

  Click Help -> About -> Credits -> Translated By

  When I scroll through the list, I see a lot of question marks (?) in
  the names. Presumably these are meant to be accented characters.

  This happens on 11.04 and 11.10 alpha.
