This seems to have been resolved with package version
1:2.32.0-0ubuntu1.1

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: tomboy

  Since the upgrade to 10.10, the titles of notes in the drop-down menu
  (from the tomboy panel icon) are blank.

  See attached screenshot.

  The titles are visible within the "Search all Notes" dialogue box.
