The log's good enough, thanks. I've identified that this bug is a
duplicate of Bug #873787, and that it has been worked around in
2.2.1-1ubuntu2 which is present in oneiric-proposed.

and post whether you still see the issue in the oneiric-proposed version

  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I had some kind of freeze with Banshee when I was doing some library
  maintenance and I shut it down after some time. When I tried to start
  banshee again there was no response. I did notice that the bamfdaemon
  was running, and I couldn't kill it. I tried uninstalling and
  reinstalling but still no joy. I'm not familiar enough with Linux to
  review logs to find the problem and would appreciate any help you may
  have to offer.
