Owais, Please could you run in a terminal "banshee --debug" and attach
all the output information as a separated file (while you are trying to
reproduce this issue)? Also could you attach your
"~/.config/banshee-1/log" as a separated file, Thank you.

by the way, if you are working under Ubuntu Natty there is a new release
available (2.0.0-2ubuntu1)

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: banshee

  My Sony walkman (nws-w-series) is not detected by Banshee.. I use
  banshee as my media management app but have to use rhythmbox to sync
  my walkman. Please fix this.
