i don't have this "wins" option in /etc/nsswitch.conf. 
here is my config:
passwd:         compat
group:          compat
shadow:         compat

hosts:          files mdns4_minimal [NOTFOUND=return] dns mdns4
networks:       files

protocols:      db files
services:       db files
ethers:         db files
rpc:            db files

i tried to reproduce this error again but i didn't happened. when i try to reload the live365.com list of available music, it don't reload and only say: "error please reload"
but no crash anymore.
