Thanks Ricardo for the heads up.
Yes, I can confirm this. What happened was that Banshee used to use the
banshee-1 translation domain, and the banshee-1.mo file was shipped in
language packs accordingly.
However, at some point the domain in banshee changed from banshee-1 to
banshee. I just noticed it last week and I changed it in Launchpad, so
that the next language pack after beta-2 contains banshee.mo
Regards,
David.

Title:
Banshee shows untranslated due to an wrongly-named .mo file
Status in Ubuntu Translations:

Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Banshee shows fully untranslated in my Spanish Natty because the
compiled-translations .mo file is called "banshee-1.mo" instead of
"banshee.mo". To resolve this issue, I simply do:
$ sudo mv /usr/share/locale-langpack/es/LC_MESSAGES/banshee-1.mo
/usr/share/locale-langpack/es/LC_MESSAGES/banshee.mo
I don't know if this is a Launchpad Translations related bug or a
Banshee bug, but it's a rather big translations issue with a fairly
easy fix.
