Bug description:
It takes nearly three seconds to enter full screen mode or slide show mode after pressing the button in F-Spot's toolbar. This transition is excessive, and it makes the cross-fade effect seem long and drawn-out.

(Furthermore, pressing escape during this long transition causes a NullReferenceException which crashed F-Spot. This is a separate bug, but shows that F-Spot is not rock solid during this transition.)
