Ok remove that file.  If you have added gedit to your dock (pinned it,
dragged a launcher to it, etc) you will probably have to remove that
from your dock and re-add it (after deleting this file).

As subject, seems that docky can't get the gedit icons, it shows the default greyed one.
I am using the default ubuntu lucid icon theme.
