I mentioned this in my earlier post, but there is a "Recent Favourites" smart
playlist included by default which does this "most last played" functionality.

Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Binary package hint: banshee

I'm a maverick user and since I heard that banshee will become the default player for natty, I decided to try banshee and I notice something:
 There is no "Recent or Last played songs"  list
I saw something like "Favoris" (french) --> " Most Liked ", but i never set a most liked list  on banshee,
