Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: banshee
In ubuntu 10.10 beta (64bit) banshee 1.7.5. after program iniation starts rescanning all my (available) external hard drives for music files and I cannot stop the scan. Sometimes the scan finishes (very rare), other times Banshee hangs or even crashes. I have no wish for this type of behaviour even when I would like Banshee to scan my /home/user/Music folder. The scanning also uses a lot of CPU (120-170 %) and RAM - or at least I assume that is the culprit.
