This bug seems to be deprecated with the introduction of application
indicators and the https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NotificationAreaTransition
initiative. There is a Wishlist bug filed for the app-indicator support
for tasque, namely Bug #518260. Should this bug be set to invalid?

You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu
CLI/Mono Uploaders, which is subscribed to tasque in ubuntu.

Status in “tasque” package in Ubuntu: New

Bug description:
Binary package hint: tasque

I haven't found an option to hide the notification area icon. According to the GNOME HIG, there should be one — tasque does not notify me about anything most of the time, so the icon is useless and it only clutters my notification area.
